Make your own ceramic piece in two mornings. Shape it by hand on Saturday, finish it engobes & glazes on Sunday. No experience needed.

From clay to your own piece
Day 1, Saturday
Hand-building
A 40-minute introduction to clay types, drying and firing. Then you shape your own piece by hand. No throwing wheel.
Day 2, Sunday
Raw Glazing
Learn glazing techniques, then colour your piece with engobes & studio glazes, discover some locally collected materials that turn to glass in the kiln.
4 weeks later
Collect your piece
We fire your work in our studio. Pick it up in Friedrichshain once it is ready. Booked Day 1 only? We glaze it for you.
Good to know
I have never touched clay. Is that okay?
Yes. The workshop is made for complete beginners, and each day starts with a short introduction.
Will I use a pottery wheel?
No. This workshop is all about hand-building, no throwing wheel involved.
When can I take my piece home?
About four weeks after the workshop, once it has dried and been fired.
