Traditionally, ceramic objects were created and glazed using natural components: wood ashes, rocks, minerals, mud and natural pigments.
This masterclass invites you to rediscover the extraordinary palette of colours, textures and materials that nature has to offer.
Natural Glazing is one of our signature Clay Labs, rooted in more than ten years of artistic research and experimentation with natural glaze materials by our studio founder and mentors.
Guided by Viviane, Blanca or Elizaveta you will discover the history of natural glazes and explore the fundamentals of glaze chemistry through an intuitive, hands-on approach.

Do I need previous ceramic experience?
Not at all! This masterclass is open to absolute beginners in ceramics and glazing. No previous knowledge of glaze mixing is required.
What will I learn?
You will explore the history of natural glazes, the basics of glaze chemistry, traditional recipes and experimental ways of combining natural materials into glaze mixtures.
